Very friendly bosses, the room was fine. Wifi good, parking along the river or in the small courtyard possible. And the leased restaurant is also good for 4 stars. The portions are huge and the deep fryer is used intensively. We were satisfied.

Everything is good in the hotel. It's just a shame that the heating is on frost protection. If you work outdoors all day, a warm room and heat shower would be great

Super nice, nice service. Always delicious. I can only recommend it. Also very attentive ... they always discover our little dog ... once cuddly, there. Water is not always a given. Thank you dear team!

We were in Mainz Kostheim for three days and ate very well here. The service is very friendly and the price-performance ratio is great. Should we come here again then definitely Hotel zum Engel. Many thanks to the lovely staff ?

A great address if you want to eat well. We go there again and again and love it. The staff is very courteous and very attentive. All around you feel like you are with nuts. ?

We ate very tasty home-style food there and since the pirtions were so large we also took food home with them. It has a casual and relaxed atmosphere and a lot of regular customers.

Very nicely located, dog friendly hotel. Unfortunately the only one in the area. I was also welcome here with a Doberman. Thanks for that ! :) Nice, clean and spacious single room with a fridge and tea / coffee bar in the room. Very friendly owner. Gladly again!

To spend the night in a hotel like this during an assembly is just great. Room spartan but clean. Thanks for the huge shower in the room (I think it was) 26. A dream. Showering without worrying about lying down for a long time. GREAT. The "hostel parents" and the staff were very friendly. People look at the photos of food. The food not only looks good, no, it also tastes so delicious. Thank you Maybe think of an extension cord with a double plug. ;-) Subsequently assessed. Visited 02-04/2019.

Very good hotel, in an excellent location. The owners are very nice and friendly. The food in the restaurant is excellent at normal prices and the service is also very good.

Delicious. Reserved and got a wonderful place on the terrace. The staff very nice and attentive. Best price / performance. My recommendation: Bernese schnitzel

Enjoy the beautiful view of the Main on the terrace when the weather is nice. Good home cooking, optimal (I like it when the menu does not have so many dishes) Menu with both small and extensive dishes and seasonal asparagus dishes. Fast service (drinks in less than five minutes), friendly and humorous waitresses. Food nicely arranged and very tasty (Schnitzel a la Engel). Recommended - we will be back.

Traditional German cuisine. Generous portions, always high quality & served hot. Great location ,if the weather permits sit outside, inside snug & warm. Have visited over the past 4 years,standards are consistently high. Staff warm & give a great welcome. Great beer & selection of wines. If you like trendy gastro with loud music this is not for you,try the centre of Mainz or along the Rhine.

Amazing family owned hotel next to river and in walking distance from Mainz. Rooms are nice with bathrooms and very comfortable bed. Surely it is a good idea to visit restaurant, where they serve tasty food and state of art beer. Once be in this area, this hotel is the one I'm booking?

Very good! The whole staff, including the cleaning lady, super friendly and approachable. The rooms are spotlessly clean, bright and furnished in a friendly way down to the flower. Nice bathroom and then the view of the Main (you can walk around naked, nobody can go in) For breakfast: everything is there; even salmon! And again very attentive, friendly staff. In the evening you can sit on the terrace with a glass of whatever and watch the ships, but first you have to try the delicious schnitzel! I would have loved to lick the plate. Are you looking at...

Perfect and correct, simple rooms, excellent food and nice beers in the ambient restaurant with good service and all for an reasonable price.
